[To the Editor,]
Pill, —Now that the Borough election is over, and we have a few new councillors elected, it is to be hoped that we shall see some improvements in our streets as at present they are a disgrace to any Borough. There is also the bridge question to be decided, seeing that we are so heavily rated just now, I, for one, am in favour of the Bridge-street site, recommended by both engineers as being the cheapest and best site. The Kenrickstreet site might suit the nou-paying electors best, but we who have to stand the extra expense are the ones that should decide this question. I believe in no half measures, but recommend taking a vote of the ratepayers to decide this matter. Hoping that our new Councillors will make a stand for this, and prove themselves worthy of the confi deuce placed in them,—l am. etc. Ratepayer.
