Young Man escapes Trial.
SUICIDE BY POISONING.
(By Telegraph —‘Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A young man named James Hellyer charged with child murder was
taken suddenly ill in court yesterday afternoon. He was removed to the hospital and died about eight 0 clock last night. Death was apparenty clue to poisoning. When arrested a phial was found upon him containing tabloids and crystals, hut later in the clay he somehow got the phail by
stating that he wanted to take some of the contents for relieving toothache. Deceased was aged about 25 and was employed at a local waiehouse. This is the case reported from Christchurch a few days ago when the alleged father of an illegitimate child secured possession of the infant from its mother, stating that he was going to have it adopted but the mother becoming suspicious, informed the police.
