PARCEL POST.
A] new regulation regarding parcel post packets is gazetted. -It is as follows :—A pared (other than one containing jewellery, or any article of gold or silver, or any precious st-one) -received from a place beyond New Zealand, .addressed to a post office “to be called for,” or for other reason required to- lie at a’poet office, will, after it- has remained in thle office seven.dear days (excluding Sundays and holidays), be charged demurrage at'the. rate of’id a day, A parcel containing, jewellery, or'any article of gold -or silver, or any predibus atone, rteloeived from a pladei ibeyond New Zealand, after it has remained’in the office fourteen days (excluding Sundays and holidays), will befcharged demurrage at hhiet rate of one per- centum per diem/ on the declared value , thereof. Nlo demurrage, however, will be dhiarged on a pared addressed to a place at which there is no houise to house deiivery, or for a person on board ship.
