VIEWS OF THE PREMIERS.
LONDON, Yesterday. The Hon. Mr Deakin, Sir J. G. Ward, Dr. Jameson, and Mr Moore are in favour of open discussions at the Conference. Britain and Sir W. Laurier object, and Botha is doubtful. Sir W. Laurier says he would be unable to speak freely on Canada’s position in the presence of the press. The question of publicity should be the first subject discussed.
