Taylor-Carrington Company.
“ EVICTED.”
The popular Taylor-Carrington Company made another appearance in Te Aroha at the Public Hall on Tuesday last, when the sensational comedy-drama ‘ Evicted” was pre- , sented to a crowded house, The theme was constant, brimful of sentiment and undying love which even the wealth and scheming of a wicked landlord could not thwart. The piece was well staged, and both the humurous and tragic scenes wore depicted so as to earn hearty from the full house, Mr Charlie TajH lor played the part of Brian O’FarrSW as though it had been made forjhim, and Mr Ward Lyon, as the wealthy ■> landlord, had a congenial part. .Miss Ellen Flood made a pretty and spirited Eileen Moriarty, and Miss Ella Carrington, as Bedelia McGuire, was good, as usual. The other characters were well pourtrayed, A very fine piece of acting, the best of the even** ing, was Brian O’Farrell’s greeting of Patrick O’Donnell, an exiledlrishman, surprise, incredulity and a real Irish outburst of pleasure being true to the life.
