Hon R. McNab.
VISITS INVERCARGILL,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
INVERCARGILL, This Day’.
The Minister for Lands when visiting here, was asked if the Land Bill would be the first business of the session. Mr McNab said it would come on immediately after the address-iu-reply. He lid not see how the present House could stop it going through, as it was (without giving option). He considered the Bill made" sufficient provision for the freehold. If any one party succeeded in getting a material alteration in the Bill in this direction, then it could not go through, as far as the Government is concerned. Parliament would probably open the last week in June, and he anticipated that the Premier would be back in time for the opening. He said Mr Millar was at present engaged on the Tariff which would come up for revision.
