Masonic Installation.

Thursday evening last was the occasion of a most important Masonic function, which took place at the Lodge, Bro. F. M. Strange being installed as W M., and other officers invested. Owing to the absence of R.W. Bro 0. Nicholson, Grand Superintendent, the duties of installing master were ably performed by R.WBro Harris, G.D., supported by several past and present Grand Lodge officers. W. Bro J. Rowe, P.M., and W. Bro J W Anderson, P.M., acted as presenting officers, while the duties of D.C. were performed by Wor, Bro E A Bruce, P.M. The following officers were invested by the newly-installed W.M., Bro Strange: 1.P.M., Wor. Bro T Mclndoe ; • D.M., Wor. Bro F Pavitt; S.W., Bro GGKenny; J.W., F W Wild ; Treasurer, Wor. Bro J Rowe; Secretary, Bro A 8 Mackay; D. of C., Wor. Bro J. M. Bell; S.D. Bro H W. Dalton ; JD. Bro H. Jackson ; I.G Bro R. A Larney; S.S. Bro F. S. Ramson; J.S. Bro D. Waghorn ; ryler, Bro J. Cumming; auditor, Bro P. Gilchrist.

Representative visiting brethren were present from Lodges Ohinemuri (Paeroa), Corinthian and Sir Walter Scott (Thames), Tauranga; Waihi, Beta (Hamilton), St. Andrew, • Ara (Auckland), Fiji, and numerous others. At a banquet afterwards tendered to the guests by Lodge Aroha in the Public Hall, toasts were honoured in the customary way, and numerous musical items by visiting and local brethren were much enjoyed. The catering, by Bro. C. A. Smith, gave great satisfaction.
