RAILWAYS NEEDED IN THE NORTH. (By Telegraph!—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Minister for Lands states that he returns from Auckland more than ever impressed with the belief that there is a tremendous future before the province, particularly in the North, where the chief want is railway communication, as the products of the districts are mostly perishable and will not stand long cartage or water carriage. Some day this country will support an immense population, along the West Coast. '
