Bowling Notes.
A meeting of the committee of the Te Aroha Bowling Club was held on Monday evening. Mr J. Carlaw wrote consenting to continue as one of the Ciub’s representatives on the Council of the Auckland Bjwling Association, and delegate ’on "The Match Committee of that Association.
Mr W. Coleman asked, on. account of press of business, to he relieved from acting as the second representative on the Council, and enclosed a donation of one guinea to the prize funds of the club. The secretary was instructed to duly acknowledge Mr Coleman’s kindness. Mr Harrison of Devonport will he asked to take the vacaut place on the Council. Messrs Power, Dalton, and Wallace were appointed to Act witli tho, President (Mr Pavitt) and secretary (Mr Burton) on tho Match Committee of the Te Aroha Bowling Club. It was left to the Match Committee to prepare a programme of matches for the incoming season and report at the next meeting of the general committee. Ihe formal opening of the local green was fixed for Saturday, 4th Nov. 19(|5, at 2 p.m. Messrs Bcswick, Hubbard, Dows, and Jas. McKee were elected members of the club. Tho secretary reported that as a result of the recent social a substantial amount had been added to tho funds of the club. The Cambridge Bowling Green will be formally opened on Wednesday, HtNov., and the Thames Green on Thursday, 2nd Nov. All members of the Te Aroha Club have been invited to be present at each of these functions. Those able to accept one or both invitations," should at once communicate with the secretary,. Mr A, F.
