[by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION | Wellington. This Day. "When the Audit Commissioners opened yesterday there were some skirmishes between the Bench and Mr' Jellicoe, who appears for Mr Fisher. He began by asking if the order for reference had been attended to, * and by whom, and wanted the Commission to interpret the order and also to be allowed to make a motion of urgency. The Commission declined, and there i was some heated argument, counsel being repeatedly ordered to sit down. Application to have witnesses ordered out of C"U-t met with b tter success. Mr Jelliio 1 said the voucher ith<-y were enquidng was probably “one of the theteidegal payments outof this Imperial money.” and he was on the trail of the voucher that was never audited.
