Gordon Notes.
(From our own Correspondent.) We have had a cold, shewery week, s jriously retarding growth. This is f jit all the more as many of the farmers are extra early with the cows this season. The Cricket Club intends starting o perations shortly, in anticipation of s ime keen contests with the surrounding clubs. 1 sea that Mr Moss has been maki:i<>- enquiries re connecting Gordon with Waharoa by telephone, and jndging frnm Sir Joseph Wards reply we should soon have this mucha veiled convenience. I should think that a little agitation would secure us three mails a week, as it would be very little more expense to come on here from Aratiatia Post Office on Monday, as is don® oa Wednesdays and Saturdays. With three mails a week aud a telephone, Gordon would hardly know itself.
