M. U. Oddfellows.

Tho usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hot Springs Lodge was hold the other evening, N. G Bro. Harris presiding over a large attendance of membeis. A quantity of routinary c irrespondence was expeditiously disposed of. The district secrotary wrote to the affect that owing to the annual official visit of the district officers to the Te Aroha Lodge taking place at the quarterly meeting a fortnight hence they regretted their inability to be present at the Lodge’s Annual Social. A committee was appointed to arrange for the reception of the district officers with power to act. It was resolved that the Lodge pay a visit to the Loyal Jubilee Lodge, Paeroa, on Monday evening, October 9th. In reference to the series of “Pound” socials held by. the Lodge it was decided that in future only members of the Order be allowed to attend with their lady friends, the ladies to receive invitations from the committee. The quinquennial report from the Registrar of Friendly Societies was read and was very satisfactory. Sick pay was passed to one member: Several members were recommended for various degrees to be conferred on them by the district officers.
