French salt baskets have been .renced 2s but the quality is indifferent, and most of the butters are suffering through the excessive heat. Irish is in slightly better supply, liut choicest quality is none too plentiful. Unless our Colonies come to tb© rescue we cannot see where the shortage of June arrivals is to be made up. Cheese. There is no life in the market, and the turn is in|the buyer’s Favour. 48s is the general price to-day nd buyers of any quantity can get on. at 6d less. Trade is however, of quite a retail character.
