LIBERAL CANDIDATES.
SELECTIONS FOR THE AUCKLAND DISTRICT. [By Telegraph.—Press Association.] Auckland, Sept, 6. The central executive of the Liberal and Labour Federation has advised the Liberal organiser that it has been decided to support the following candidates at the general elections : Bay of Islands —Mr Houston Kaipara—Mr J. Stallworthy Marsden —Mr R. Thomson Grey Lynn—Mr G. Fowldes Parnfil—Mr Lawry Franklin—Mr W. W. MoCard'e Thames—Hon. James McGowan Ohinemuri— Mr H. Poland Waikato—Mr H. J Greens!ade Bay of Plenty—Mr J. Foster Auckland East—Mr F. E, Baum Auckland West—Mr 'lobe No selection was made for Eden, as no candidate is yet in the field. The Auckland Central, W aitemata, and Manukau selections will be announced shortly. In deference to a protest entered against the selection of Mr Clinkard as the Liberal candidate foi Waitemata, the Premier has informed the Liberal organiser that the result of the selection as expressed by the ballot of the Waitemata'Federation will not be interfered with.
