Horses: On Friday, at the Durham Yards, a large number of medium and heavy draughts, were yarded, and anything of a good quality sold freely. Heavy draughts sold at from .£22 5s to £4O ; medium ditto, £l9 to £35 ; hacks and light harness horses, £5, to £ls ; weeds, £2 10s to £7 ss. The bay stallion Federation brought 100 guineas. At Taukau, on Wednesday, the farm in the estate of the late A. Madill, junr., £1475, was sold undtr keen competition. On Thursday, at the clearing sale of live and dead stock, held on account of Mr Robt. Johnson, Harrisville, there was good attendance, and very , satisfactory prices realised. The cows sold at £3 7s to £8 10s. Farm horses, £3O, ditto, mare, £25 ; two-year-old colt, £l2 10s ; disc harrows, £6 2s 6d; plough, £3 10s —were some of the prices realised. At Waiuku, on Saturday, there was a large muster of stock of . all classes, , which met with a ready sale. Dairy cows sold at from £4 10s to £8 ; empty cows, £1 15s to £3 10s ; calves, £1 4s to £2 7s;'grown stders, £5 5s to £5 16s ; beef at Newmarket rates. On Monday, at the clearing sale of Mr A. J. Coghlan’s dairy, Penrose, the cows were rather low in condition, but, notwithstanding, satisfactory prices were realised, cows selling at from £3 10s to £8; bull £8 10s ; bay mare, £26 ; light trap mare, £l7; spring cart £8 10s, were some of the prices realised. At Clcvedon on Monday there was a fair muster. Dairy cows, £4 5s to £6 10s ; empty ditto, £1 14s to £2 9s; calves, £1 lsto£l 19s. Sheep: Wethers, at 18s to Ll. • Cattle : At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday, fat stock were penned in less, numbers than the previous week, and showed a slight improvement in values ; oxen sold up to 24s per 1001 b ; cows, 18s to 21s ; steers sold at from L 4 10s to LlO 17s 6d ; cows, L 4 5s to L 8 10s.

Dairy cows were yarded in average numbers, and sold at from L 4 10s to L 8 ; empty ditto, L2 10s to L 3256 d ; calves, Ll 8s to L2 13s.

Sheep were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, in barely average numbers, competition wns keen. We quote wethers at from 17s 9d, to Ll 10s 3d; ewes, 10s 3d to Ll 2s 9d; hoggets, 12a Gdto 16s 6d. We submitted an extra large catalogue of liides, skins, and tallow on Tuesday, all lines being sold under keen competition. Hides : Market firm.
