COLLAPSE OF A STORE.
New York, August 9. Myer’s stores at Albany, New Yerk, while undergoing repairs collapsed, 25 persons being killed. MONSOON IN INDIA. Bombay, August 8. The abseuce of rain from the Pu n j aubis causing great anxiety for the crop. The monsoonal rains have been practically confined to the maritime province of Gujarat, in Bombay, and to the Kathewar peninsula, on the western coast. These two districts have been deluged, and the floods, it is estimated, have done damage to the extent of 15,000 lakhs of rupees. Ten thousand people have been rendered homeless.
