Salvation Anny Biorama.

Ox Friday night last the Te Aroha public were privileged in having an evening with the S.A. Biorama Company. These travellers, mostly Australians, who have now almost completed a trip throughout the colony, proved to he a talented and versatile company.. Gifted singers and accurate players were here, assisted by an excellent biograph. After the Mayor (Mr A. J. Farmer) had introduced Brigadier Perry and his uniformed

performers, the Brigadier briefly stated the object of their mission, viz., to create a strong fund out of which to provide all Salvation Army field officers with a regular salary. Hitherto no money whatever has been guaranteed them by Headquarters, the public and Army members have boon their main support. Then were rendered various religious and secular pieces, such as “Sun of My Soul,”

“Asleep in the Deep,” etc. The soloists, tho singing by full choir of men’s voices, and tho selections by brass and string orchestra, were each ably given and much appreciated. Several of the pieces, battlefield, domestic, humourous, and pathetic, woro pictorial ly illustrated by very clear and well managed biographic views. These pictures wore of a high order, and very varied, most having boon photographed by Brigadier Perry. Some of them, such as scenes of a eoaoh-drivo through Otira and Duller Gorges, have been recently shown by tho Brigadier in Crystal Palace, and in Berlin and other Continental cities, evoking much pleasure and enthusiasm. Tho whole ontortainment boars the murk of a clean, interesting, and educational production, without coarseness and without undue excitement.
