The Australians opened with Trumper and Armstrong and after each norrowly escaped being bowled early iu their innings, they hit out merrily and 145 appeared on the board after 90 minutes, play, then Trumper, who had given splendid display for 86, was dismissed. Armstrong is not out with 79 and the score stands two wickets for 182.
