THE PLAGUE.
Sydney; March 25. The Premier has decided to quarantine any warehouse w.here an outbreak of plague occurs. The inspectors are making house to house visits in .the infected area. A number of places are reported; very insanitary, and some unfit for human habitations. Cleansing operations commence on Monday. Over 8000 hare been inoculated.. Two more cases of plague are reported—Mills and Hall—both being employed at widely divergent points in George street. One death has occurred in quarantine, viz;, i Haynes. Perth, March, 25. The 'shipping companies complain that the destruction of rats is seriously interfering’with business.. Sydney, Yesterday. The three Dovey children and the Tad Stratford, all plague patients, are now convalescent. The hospital report for the week ended Saturday, shows that twCnty-four cases of Plague were under treatment, and there have been eleven deaths and one recovery..
