Messrs Mackay and Pratt; eers, report as follows on tho-Ohine--muri markets for tho week ending.Mareh 15th, 1900 :: —This week we a 'very large consignment of fruit;, about 240 cases being sent in for sal«„ c nsisfing chiefly of peaches and apples.. A. fair attendance prevailed’and : prices obtained were satisfactory.. realised from l£d to 3f dper lb ; plums mads IJd to 2£d pears brought ljd ? to 2£d ; apples £cl to 2£d ; 2Jd to 3d ; quinces £d per lb j.paratoes, brought-from 7s to 8s per sack.. Grapes, cucumbers and fowls brought fairprices. Pig l * were also offered but. failod to reach owners reserve.
