Tennis Tournament

Great interest is being manifested by local lovers of the racquet in the above tournament, which is at present being fought out on the Domain lawn. As we mentioned in a previous issue the ladies singles was won by Miss Stella Campbell ;- the gents singles are- new drawing to a close* Yesterday afternoon Dansey (scratch) and W.. Maingay (owe A 15) had a bout on the lawn* .the former winning—6-1, 4-6, 64. Messrs Banks and Dansey are the only two gentlemen remaining in tho singles, aud they play off as to which will win the trophy. The ladies ( gentlemen's handicap doubles are being proceeded with, the results of which wi t be published shortly.
