HOT SPRINGS DOMAIN BOARD.

Monthly meeting of the above Board was held last evening. Present r Messrs E. Gallagher (in the chair), By grave, Wallace,. Molls, andO’Meagher. ! Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed'. Correspondence..—From- Chairman of Puirirr School Committee,, forwarding thanks of Committee for nse of Domain and other privileges at time of recent school picnic.—D. W. MeArthur,, engineer; Paeroa, stating he was now bu-ily engaged with Board’s work in connection with Domain lawn extension- He also mentioned that owing to certain complications and numerous details,, there was more than double the work required in the preparation of the plan than he anticipated.—E. Leßoy re supplying flags. From the Treasury, Wellington, intimating that the sum of £25, six months’ subsidy towards doctor, had been placed to their credit, Mr Bygrave drew the attention of the Board to* the fact that certain persons- were in the habit of using baths at times prohibited. It was resolved that Caretaker Stanley be* instructed to visit the baths at the hours men- - tioned. Other matters were also spoken of and drastic measures axe to be taken in the matter. Bowling Green.—Mr Mills took objection to various alterations that had been made in the plan originally proposed for extending lawn, re shifting tennis oourts, etc.. Hydropathic Treatment,—A number of letters were rea l by Mr Muir,, which that gentleman had received from doctors in Auckland. These letters went to show the benefit derived from the hydropathic treatment. It was resolved to have several of these printed on a large cnrd r and plaoed in. the various bath-houses, hotels, etc. Mr Muir also read a number of : directions for use of baths, which he had drawn-up. These were approved of by the Board and will no- doubt prove beneficial to. persons using the baths,. Monthly Statement. —The Clerk road the monthly statement for 4 weeks ending 7th-March, 1900, as follows r—Receipts ; Baths, £IO,B 5s 4'd; library, l’8s; towifl, £8 Os 2d; total, *£ll7 3s Gd. Cash on hand, £47 9s lid; cash in Bank, £175 17s B'd ; total, £223 7s 7d 'less accounts owing, £B6 Os 7d. Leaving a credit balance of £137 6s lid.
