Te Aroha Races.

The annual in eetiug of the Te Aroha Jockey Oiub commences to-day, and is to be continued on Monday. The weather promises >o be fine, and there will in all probability be a rec *rd a tendance, owing to the number of cheap excursions. People will arrive by rail, by road, and by water. The Te Aroha brass band, consisting of 14 performers, has been engaged, and lovers of horse racing look forward to two days of good sport. The first race is timed to commence at 1 o’clock today, and on Monday at 12 noon. W e understand the business pe> pie of Te Aroha have agreed to close their premises this afternoon, and to recognise Monday as the half-holiday for next week.
