Orange Blossoms
A wedding was so’emnised on Wednesday last, at the residence of Mr and Mrs Cooke, Richmond - street, Thames, the o antraoting parties being Mr Thomas A. Dickson, of Waiomo, and Miss Margaret Edith McLaren. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr Mackenzie, in the presence of a large number of the friends of tho bride and bridegroom. The bride looked charming, and was dressed in whito silk, with white sa f in anl Lreo trimmings. Her wrath, veil, ai d b uiquet were presents from Mrs Roht. Wilson. The bride was after did b} r four brid smaids— Miss Lottie St tnlev, Te Arol a, sea green duchess patin white silk and luce frimimgs; Miss Anna Gibb, cream nun’s veiling, trimmed with green silk ; Miss Flossie Henthdte, To Aroha, pale blue silk; an'd Miss Emmy Gibb, cream nun’s veilin'?, trimmed with green silk. The bridegroom was attended by Mr James Sinclair, of Waiomo, as best man. T ! e following is a description of some of the dresses worn by friends present at the ceremony : Mrs A. Burns, sister of the bride, cream nun’s veiling, with gold Rtripes and silk lace trimmings; Ifrs Wilson, green silk blouse with black trimmings; Mrs Cooke, red satin blou=e and black lace tr:mmings ; Mrs Dalton, cream figured easbmere, trimmed wbh si'k ; Miss Lamb, cream silk ; Miss Howard, Te Aroha, cornflower blue costume. Aff°r the health of tho bridge nnd bridegroom was dyunk in wine, th° wedding mrtv preceded td Mr Foy’s to have their photographs en, after whii h ‘lie newly wedded co- pie left by tnin f -r their home at Waikino, f >l- - by the good wishes of a large number of f.iends.
