WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
Tiie ordinary monthly of the Wait a' Road Boa'-J was held at Morrit.sv ilia .on Saturday last. Present; MessrsFarmer, Borne, and Allen. In theabsence of Mr Chepmell, Mr Farmer occupied the chair. The clerk stated that he had received a map sh w"ng the road leading near ‘o Mr Nelson’s section through Mr Thornt -n’s land. Resolved, that' the B mid will obtain a road to Mr Nelson’s, providing he pays the cost of getting, it dedicated and fenced. [ Vt fhis stege Mr Chepmell arrived and took the chair. Mr. also ='""1 arrived and to <k his sent.} * The clerk s'ated that he had received a letter from the supervising valuer, stating that certaiu alterations been made. Resolved, that they be' also made in the Board’s roll. Iu reply to the e’erk’s letter re recovering rate from John Timmins, Mr Swarbrick stated th >t he had issued a summons against Mr Timmins, wishe'kfor a certain b ck to he duced. He said he would guarantee that the Board w iu'd get the money. The Chairru n said ho had received a letter from L. Contin ation of Knight's Road ' The engineer stat d that he had inspected K ight’s Road, and it wasdecided t > call "for tenders. Mr Firmer stated he would give £5 towards it. The engineer reported that he had let 9o chains of road mending in different places for £lO, an I some about Wal‘on and Taylo.’s for £ll 5s 6d.
Mr Ai'ken said th it the fascines near Kiwbafa were uns .fe and it was decided rh it it be attended to at once.
Resolved, that a special meeting be he’d on 24th February, to bring loan under a different Act, so 'hat the interest. would be less, and also to go thoroughly into the ma'ter.
