ONE OF KRUGER’S GRANDSONS CAPTURED. GENERAL DUNDONALD’S SUCCESS. RIDGE AFTER RIDGE TAKEN. Capetown, January 19. General Dundonald’s mounted troops were engaged in action to the westward from Acton Homes, and occupied a kopje. Cornet Heildron and twenty Boers were killed and wounded, and fifteen taken prisoners. The Boers exploded a bridge they were building seven miles west of Potgrier’s Drift, by which they intended to out-flank General Buller. Capetown, January 21. General Duudqn&ld captured one of President Kruger’s grandsons. Further details of the disaster to the New South Wales Lancers and Aus tralian Horse show that Kilpatrick is dead, and SergeanfcMaj ~>r Griffon, of the Australian Horse, was killed. London, January 20.

A detachment-of General Warren’s Dragoons has reinforced General Dun dormld. The later has 2500 men wiih Maxims,
-The Boers are in a state of strength at Spionkop. General Warren’s force is steadily advancing. He has' occupied kbpjos commanding the ravine to the northwest of Spienkop. General Lyttelton’s brigade has gained ; af position* two miles further forward.
The bulk of the Boers in Natal are hastening, to repel General Buller. Ten thousand arrived on the 11th, and commenced f r verishly to construct formidable entrenchments. Their main position extends six miles westerly along kopjes opposite Potgrier’s, where the river is tortuous. *
General Buller has cabled that General Clerv, with a part of General Warren’s force yesterday had 13 hours "hard fighting. Bv the judicious use of artillery he fought his way up, capturing ridge after ridge, for three miles bivouacking on the captured ground. The main Boer position however, is still in the vanguard. The British casualties were not heavy, but a .hundred wo-unded Were brought in by an hour in the evening. The number killed is not ascertained. The Boer trenches are being shelled continuously, Ladysmith is jubilant at hearing the guns of the relieving columns. Durban, January 21. General Warren has obtai further successes to-day, the enemies fire is occasionally severe. London, January 21. The Government has chartered the White Star Liner Africa to transport troops to South Africa, during February. ~
