WAR FUND.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Of course there must be a local subscription to the above in addition to concerts and the like. And if your lady correspondent will send to me her cheque for £lO as a contribution to the local fund, I guarantee that the same shall at least total £SO. Te Aroha and district should however do better than that, and the committee (who will give what they can themselves) confidently expect to get at least £IOO. All sub script ions great or small I shall be glad to receive and acknowledge on on their behalf.—l am, etc., P. Gilchrist, Treasurer. Te Aroha, loth Jan., 1900.
