Tennis Tournament.
A MEETING of those interested in holding a Lawn Tennis Tournament in Te Aroha, at an early date, was held in the News Office last evening. Present:—Alisses Pavitt, M. Hirst, Slator, M. Maingay, and Messrs Cobrough, Calder, Banks, Maingay, Eagar, Levin. Mr Banks was voted to the chair, and briefly introduced the business of the meeting. It was agreed to hold the tournament, to consist of ladies’ and gentlemen’s singles and doubles; entrance fee, 2s 6d each. A Committee was appointed to make all arrangements for carrying out the tournament. Mr J. Alaingay was elected secretary.
