BAY OF PLENTY OF ELECTION.

POLL AT GORDON. It may be remembered that some time ago Mr J. Maisey in our columns controverted the Deputy Returning Officer’s figures (giving 30 votes for Lundon and 1 fur Harries) for this part of the electorate. He asserted that three people were p repared. to swear that they voted/for Mr Hen-ies, and the natural inference was that some error had been committed. A scrutiny has been/made with the result that the officer’s;figures have been found to be perfectly correct.
