LATEST FROM THE FRONT. Madrid, June 7. The Spanish reserve fleet, under Admiral Canara, which was lately reported to be undergoing speed trials has returned to Cadiz. Hongkong, June 7. Admiral Dewey reports that the arsenal at Cavite captured by the Americans in the recent battle has been restored. The insurgents say they captured eighteen hundred Spanish soldiers and fifty officers. Aquanaldo, the insurgant leader in the Phillipines, has completely surrounded Manilla Fierce fighting takes place daily between the besiegers and the besisged. Admiral Dewey is using his influence to restrain the insurgents making a final assault on tde city until the arrival of the American troops, for fear should an assault be made ,by the rebels alone there would be many barbarieties inflicted. •. London, June 7. Lord Brassey arid the Earl of Jersey have joined the committee formed to promote an Anglo-American Alliance Hongkong, June 6. It is reported from Manilla that a nitive regiment, after shooting their Spanish officers, joiued the rebels under Aquanaldo.
