Deaths at Hamilton.
Hamilton, Saturday. Two deaths took place here to-day. • Mr Charles Le Quesne, son of Mr Lp Qnesne, of the Waikato Hotel, died' after a week’s illness in the Waikato Hospital, from peritonitis. Deceased was only about. 30 years old, and was exceedingly popu lar. Much sympathy is felt for his bereaved parents, who have lost two sens within about 15 months. Mr Henry L. Hooper,. foreman of the Waikato Argus, also passed away this afternoon. He contracted influenza about a week ago, and a relapse brought oh congestion of the lings. Deceased, who had f- r nerly hoi nged to Timaru, served his time in the Timaru Herald Office, and joined the New Zealand Herald a shirt time afterwards. Coming to the Waikato he accepted a position on v’the Waikato Argus staff, which he has occupied for 18 years The late Mr Hooper, who was greatly respected. was about 40 years of age. He leaves a wife and a large family.
