TE AROHA WEST.
(From our own correspondent.)
The hitherto probability of thej school being removed towards Manawaru has at last dwindled down to a possibility, and still shows signs' of receding. Unanimity now prevails not withstanding the division of feeling which existed at the meeting of householders, when there were two votes in favour of removal while several electors chose to remain neutral, Residents in both districts are anxiously awaiting the decision of the Board of Education, as it is a matter in which everybody in the district is interested.
The weather experienced here lately has been most remarkable for this time of year, many people declaring that it is so far the mildest season they have yet known in the placed A few frosts would in very many respects be very acceptable as they would check thp forward growth of fruit trees, which would be sure to suffer the more when the real severenesß of winter makes itself felt. Feed is very scarce for cattle, and as a result suppliers are sending milk only three or four days a week to the creamery, which closes for the season at the end of the present month.
