Social at Waihou .
The cordiality the Waihou folk are proverbial, and oni Tuesday evening this spirit was as usual much in evidence. A select dance px*omoted by a few of the ladies of the district was held in the Walk nt hall. The floor-was in per feet order, and the supper everything that could be desired. •- Maithias k i ndly officialed at the piano. Amongst thbae present , were ; Mrs Dibble who looked nice in all black ; Mrs Parr, dark skirt and bloose ; Mrs Pilling dark skirt, white silk blouse j Mrs Mathias, helitrbpe blouse, dark skirt; Mrs Waters, becoming black evening .dress; Miss Hill, bla<& skirt, pretty creme evening blouse j Miss Goldsworthy, creme, evening dress ; Miss Moon, pink; Miss Parr, pale blue, and many others. Amongst the> gentlemen were Messrs Cousins, Anderson, Dansey, Maingay, Gregory Hemphill, Buchan, Lipsey andPohlen. The thanks of those who spent so pleasant an evening aredue in nostintec! measure to those who so ably catered for their enjoyment.
