Election of School Committee.
The annual' meeting of- the householders for the purpose of electing a School Committee for the ensuing year, was held in the school-room! last night. Messrs T. Mclndoe and J. T Maingay acted as scrutineers, and the following is the result of the election : Votes. P. Gilchrist ... . 38 D. McL. Wallace i 37 « Wm. Hill ... 33 J. Robinson ... 32 J; Stanley ... 29 R. Mackie ... 22 J. Salmon ... 18 A. Laybourn ... 15 H. Gallagher ... 9 H.F.Gotz ... 8 J. W. Jtyay ... 7 Messrs Gilchrist, Wallace, Hill, Robinson, Stanley, Mackie and Salmon were consequently declared elected. At a Committee meeting held afterwards, M essrs Gilchrist and Hill, were re-elected Chairman and Secretary respectively. ' A more detailed report will appear in our next issue.
