A match was played at Lipsey’s paddock on Saturday last, between Te Aroha and Waitekauri. The home team winning the' toss, put the visitors in to bat first. The Te Aroha players, although two or three of their good men were away for the holidays, made a fair stand against their formidable opponents. We understand a return match has been arranged for Saturday next, when we hope to see Te Aroha place a fully representative eleven on the field.
