At the ordinary meeting of the above Council, held on Thursday afternoon last, the following tenders were dealt with:— Contract No 295. Scouring 130 chains road drains, Aroha road, Rotokohu swamps : W. Ferguson (accepted), £l3. Contract No. 312.—Grading a portion of the Te Aroha road, near the Willows : W. Hetherington (accepted) L 25 17s 4d. Contract No. 315. •—Erection of suspension bridge, Karangahake. Part of the material to be supplied by the Council: Newson and Coulson (accepted) L 528 83 Bd. Contract No 316.- Clearing and ditching 35£ chains, Paeroa-Nethertou road: Leathern and Hankey (accepted) L3l. Contract No. 317. Building a stable and office for Inspector at Pukeriinu : F. W. Douglas (accepted), L 53 7s. Contract No. 318.—Forming and grading in Consols-street, Waihi: J. Douglas (accepted), L4S 10s. Contract No. 319—Quarrying, carting, breaking and spreading 720yds 4” spalls, Waihi-Katikati road: O. McCabe (accepted), L2lO. Contract No. 321. —Forming a portion of the Waitekauri-Hikutaia track: E. Adolph (accepted), L 57 15s. Contract No. 823. Felling and clearing bush along WaitekauriWhangamata track : Waite and Flay (accepted), L 93. Contract No. 324.—Grading Dearl’s Hill, Paeroa-Te Anha road : W. Hetherington (accepted), LI7. Tenders for building a punt for the Puke ferry for the new NethertonPaeroa road: Robert Stone 50ft x 16ft... £2lB „ „ 40ft x 15ft ... 180 „ „ 35ft x 14ft ... 160 Newson & Coulson 80 After considerable discussion, Cr Bowler moved that the Engineer prepare plans for a punt for consideration at the Council’s next meeting.
