These, with five others from other dairies, w;ere slaughtered at Tomoana to-day. Thirty eight proved to be suffering from tubculosis, and the other two from actinomycosis

DEATH OF AN OLD MAORI WOMAN ■i -i ’ ■ ■ ' Wanganui, Saturday. An old Maori woman, over 100 years of age, died yesterday morning in town. Several of deceased granddaughters are married to European settlers. She was mother-in-law to the chief of Koriniti (a pa up the river), who is over 80 years of age. She has many great great grandchildren, and was the oldest Maori en the Wanganui river.
