OHINEMURI RIFLES.

The Wappenschau competition amongst members of No. 2 Ohinemuri Rifles for the gold modal presented by Mrs Mainland, took place last Saturday at Mackaytowu rifle range. Twenty-two riflemen competed, and the average shooting showed an improvement on previous matches. Southerland, with a score of 70, was the successful competitor at both the 3CO and 500 yards, and colour-sergeant Guthrie was close up to him with 66.
