The Band Contest
The following was the result of the recent Bands’ contest held in Napier : Wellington, 154 points ; Wangauui, 138 ; Napier Garrison, 135 : Waihi 133.
Among the solo competitions we are glad to see the names of two of the Waihi Brass Band who. were successful, viz., Messrs McCarthy and McMinn, the former getting second place for euphonium solo, and the latter third place for his cornet solo. ,
