Turnip sowing is now the order of the day at the various farms around here, the recent rains having-brought the ground into fine condition; for recoiv;ing:the;e'!eed' f ‘;.',fl.( },( )[ } A [r ;;' v. Oilrfocalcricket 'club evidently intend/making- things ‘ hum’ after the holidays,, judging by the enthusiasm displayed oil practice days. I regret to have to record a rather serious accident which happened on Monday last to one of Mr H. Oaudwell’s children; It appears that the child was climbing on a “gate that had ; been taken off its hinges for repairs, /whh the result that it fell on his leg, breaking-fhe bone j ust above the ankle. Theinjured limb .was set by Dr. Cooper, ~
