(Communicated). The annual races were held here ,on Boxing Day* The attendance being the largest of any previous: years. Every arrangement possible for the comfort of visitors had been made by the Committee, and a good day’s sport Was enjoyed. Six horses started, Trevata was first away and led to the home turn, when Berry came with a great rush on Witchhazel and won by a length all out. Pony Race (l inile)—-Barmaid 1, Tepapa 2, Brokenface 3. Won easily. Flying Stakes—Trevata 1, Sambo 2, Witchhazel 3 This was the race of the day, Baker getting Trevata away at the start, was never caught.
