THE LATE MRS JOUGHIN .
The following particulars with reference to the death of. Mrs .Joughin, wife of the .Key T. A. Joughia..jof To Aroha, are from the Herald's Rasl§|o correspondent, and will be read with interest The deceased lady was the. daughter of and Mrs Buyers; and was born,and brought up amongst us. As she grew from childhood to womanhood, her kind and sympathetic nature endeared hereto-all who knew her,: and she. indentilled herself with every good work in the district. Unfortunately Mi’s Joughin did not possess a very robust constitution, and early in her married life : symptons of that insiduous disease, consumption, developed themselves, and notwithstanding every effort that medical skill could devise,’ and loving attention could do, she sank into an early grave, leav ng husband and child, parents, brothers, sisters, and friends, co mourn them loss. 1 Mrs Joughin passed away on th© night- of Sunday, f ,,the .Ist December, esteemed and regretted by aU whose privilege it was to knowibOri The funeral took place On the 3rd inst., and was followed by a large, number of people from all parts of the district. The coffin was taken into the little church on the hill at Raweno, where in former years she had so ; often attended aft a Sunday-school pupil, and subsequently as a teacher, and where; barely six years ago she stood a happy, bride The funeral service was most, impressively read by the Rev! Mr. Pearson, and Mr. Joseph Yaughan delivered a touching and appropriate address, which was listened to With £reUt attention. The'funeral college then . proceeded to the pretty 'little cemetery, wWplVeWbody was laid to rest. Mrs Joughin’s death has cast qiute a gloom over the whole-of —the community, and great sympathy is felt throughout the district for the bore ved ones,; ,
