OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

The i annual meeting of the above Council was held on Wednesday last,in the Council Chambers. ' Present: Crs Barry, Thorp, Corbett, Bowler, Cussrels and Nieholls. Mr N Kenny, County Clerk, occupied the chair, and stated the business of the meeting- was to elect a chairman for the ensuing year. On the motion of Cr Nteholls, and seconded by Cr G’aesrells'it was unanimously resolved that Cr Barry be i*eelected chairman. ~

Cr Barry, thanked the Councillors for the position they had placed him in, and said he would act in the interests of the Council td the utmost of his ability. He read communications from Crs Edwards and MoGruer apologising for the absence. - , .

Gr Edwards was olecte'd representative on the Thames and Coromandel ■Charitable Aid Board’s for ensuing l year.
