- J. W. Batten, senr. v. Margaret Kenny, ‘This was .a claim for ,£2 for making . sign-board, and erecting same at railway station. Mr Gilchrist appeared for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff for £1 and costs *l3s. J. Williams v. S. L. Hirst. Settled out of Court.
■ E. Smardon was charged, ou tha_infornmtion of J. Broadbent with illtreating a horse in Whitaker-street, Te Aroha, some two weeks ago. Mr. Gilchrist appeared for defendant, who pleaded guilty to the charge. The Warden stated that as the costs of witnesses were so heavy, he would not enforce a fine; Ordered to pay costs, which amounted to £3 0s Id.
