PAEROA NOTES.
(From our own Correspondent).
The carpenters are pushing on the completion of the Warden’s Court buildings, adjoining the post and telegraph office, which adds greatly to the appearance of the upper, township. It is. expected the work will he finished in time? for the next sittings of the Court in December;
Big entries, are in for the coming sports under the auspices of the Paeroa Football Club, which event takes place on the 30th inst. Those to take part are in active training, and a good day sport is anticipated. The Committee who h ive the matter in hand are leaving no stone unturned to make the affair a success. I h<pe th it fine weather will crown their efforts.
Messrs Pink and O’H ra, the contractors for building the large';hotel opposite the Commercial hotd, have made a start, excavating; laying the foundation, etc. When h's building ,s finished it will he one of the largest in the Ohinemuri district.
