OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council took place on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, there being present: —Crs Barry (in the chair), Corbett, Edwards, Nash, Bowler, Nicholls, Thorp, McGruer and Cassrells. _ • The minutes of the previous meeting were real and confirmed. Only one tender was received for this*at 8s 3d per yard, which was informal, as a name was not signed to the tender.

The Chairman proposed that the Council go into committee to consider the applications for the position of engineer.—Carried After coming out of committee, the Chairman mentioned that they had agreed to appoint Mr D. JW Me Arthur, of Horsham, Victoria, to the position of engineer to the County. The outward correspondence was read and approved.
