DEATH OF MR W. LITTLEJOHN.

Qtttte a'gloom was cast over the district when it became known that Mr W Littlejohn, late Foreman of Works of tho Obinemuri County Council, had passed over to the gieat majority. For several years Mr Littlejohn had been suffering from asthma and bronchitis. ’Some few weeks ago he had an unusually severe attack* from which he Wiis recovering nicely, but on the 16th inst he ventured out for a drive as far as Owharoa, and .since that date he.has had a relapse, which carried him off late on Thursday night. Mr Littlejohn has been connected with the Ohinerauri County Council since its constitution, first as a mem her and subsequently as Foreman of Works, which position he held at the time of his death. Mr Littlejohn will be missed, he was much respected by all who knew him. Much sympathy is expressed with Mrs Littlejohn and her family of six children in their sore breavement. The funeral will bp con • ducted by the Eev Nome at Paeroa on Sunday afternoon.
