Beautiful weather. Mining going ahead. Grass very, late this spring. Paeroa road in good condition. Te Aroha footballers scored a win on Saturday last. Ballast train left To Aroha on Sunday last.
Football match on Saturday next between Te Aroha and Paeroa in Mr G. Lipsey’s paddock. Tank-cars are now being nied for the transportation of wine in bulk by some of the French railways. Last week a hoy named Rouse jumped behind an Adamstown omnibus, Sydney. The driver struck at tho boy with bis whip, inflicting and injury to one of the boy’s eyes, the sight of which it is feared he will lose.
