THE CYANIDE PATENT.
.- Wellington, Wednesday. The first step, in connection with the cyanide process case was take a before the Registrar of Patents, Mr Hasebl er, for amendment of the Cassei’s Company’s specification., A preliminary point was raised as to; whether the Registrar pould proceed with the hearing of the application for amendment, seeing a petition for revocation had been filed, and argument was confined to this point alone. It was stated in the course of argument, that, whatever the decision of the Registrar might be, an appeal by way of a special case would be made from his decision to the Supreme Court, and probably from the Supremo Court to the Appeal Court. The question before each of ’these Courts would be whether the Registrar, should proceed to hear a motion for amendment while the petition was still pending. Mr Haselden reserved his decision.
