- Monday A very successful concert was given in the schoolroom on Friday evening. The building wascrowded, and,the audience thoroughly enjoyed the items. All performed their parts well, but much thanks are due to Mrs Selby and Mrs Hunter,, who accompanied the singers, to Mrs Murray^,whose singing was much appreciated, and to Miss French,' to who came from Te Aroha to help us, and who was a concert in himself . £6 16s 6d was taken at the door for the libraryfund. of flames, she got the children out as, quickly as possible. Owing to the held the fire had got;, they were unable to save anything, just escaping with their lives., Mr Pevreal was pyvay from home at i-the > time. fivMuchf: sympathy is feit for them, as Mr arid Mrs Pevreal are hardworking settlers, and have a large family.
